Where did you meet?
It was Summer 2017. I was out watching my best-friends band play at a local restaurant. I saw someone I knew through work and went over to say hi. He was out celebrating his birthday with his brothers, one of whom turned out to be Nick. He bought me a drink we talked for awhile and I gave him my number before I tottled off home with my friends. I didn't think much of it until he text me a few days later to set up a date. He totally blew it out the park on the first date. Wine, and antipasto picnic on a secluded beach (the same one we wound up getting married at).
What part of your dress did you love the most?
Honestly, The process of picking it out. Having all my Family around me and the vibe/atmosphere at Etcetera is just so beautiful. Amy and the team were so kind and professional and helpful. I felt like a princess the whole time! The dress they helped me choose was so elegant and timeless. Exactly what I wanted!
What did you like the most about your wedding day?
How intimate it was. Because of covid restrictions we had a super small wedding with only our parents, our daughter and our grandparents in attendance. But it meant we got quality time with each person and lots of time with each other. I am a massive foodie so curating a special menu was super important to me. When I sent out the invitations I asked each guest to send me back one of their favourite foods on the RSVP cards. Then I sat down with my caterer and designed a menu that incorporated some of everybody's favorites.
Any advice for future brides?
Design a day based on who you are as a couple, not on the expectations of people around you. Book a get away together so you can relax away from it all and have lots of fun.
